WPMC-2023 is the third meeting in the series of the International Conference of International Conferences on water Problems in Mediterranean countries (WPMC-97 and WPMC-2019) building upon successful outcomes at the Near East University in 1997 and 2019, respectively.

WPMC-2023 is an internationally refereed scientific conference addressing water-related problems and environmental concerns in arid and semi-arid regions of the world particularly in Mediterranean region. Water problem in the Mediterranean countries will focus on water quality and quantity in the broadest sense. The conference brings together researchers in science, society, and environment to examine water problem from a multidisciplinary perspective. Water problem is crucial to expanding our understanding of water science, society, sea water and environment related issues that humankind encounters. Such understanding is the key towards identifying critical water-related challenges, developing novel solutions and implementing steps that contribute to achieving the sustainable development goals. We welcome contributions from both the natural and social sciences, as well as from stakeholders and decision makers and from private and public sectors.

The conference gives a gold standard interdisciplinary platform and ideal environment to develop new collaborations and opportunity for research and academic forums, researchers, practitioners, and educators, industries, communities, and the private sector from worldwide to discuss most recent innovations and explore various dimensions of inter linkages between the impacts of climate change on water resources.
